Professor of music at the Academy of Arts in Egypt, Ahmed Youssef, argues the Jews don't have any musical heritage which can lead to what can be described as "Jewish folk music" or "Jewish national music", they were unsuccessful up until now and it will take centuries to achieve that in the absence of national unity, lack of common culture and obvious differences in the fabric of the Jewish community between those living in the diaspora and "occupied Palestine" (Feb.15, 2014)
